Yes, all Worcester Welcomes volunteers are required to obtain a DBS check via Worcester Community Action. This is both to protect our clients, many of whom are traumatised, lack spoken English and are therefore vulnerable. This is also done in order to protect yourself. There is a small charge and the process takes approximately 3-6 weeks.
